Universal Smartphone Vehicle Mount - just what I've been looking for! I needed an alternative vehicle mount that doesn't hook to my air vents (it's cold here and I blast the heat) and doesn't stick to my window because I don't like to block my view - not sure if that's legal in Michigan either. This is what I've chosen for my own vehicle.

This Universal Smartphone Vehicle Mount w/AC & USB Charge Ports plugs into your vehicle's lighter socket. It adds an AC and a USB charge port on the unit so you can still charge up as you go. Nice! It adjusts to fit a wide variety of devices (my iPhone 4S is on the list) and also has a LED charge indicator. If you use this unit I'd love to hear your opinions!

iPhone 4S Excitement

iPhone 4S excitement means it's on the way to me now!

It's official - as much as I loved my Palm Pre over the past 2 years I have just ordered my new Apple iPhone 4S from Sprint. I am very excited!

I've spent the past 2 months drooling over this thing, reading all about it, studying the user guide, watching videos, reading the forums, and searching the app store for what I want and need. I had to wait these past two months until I was eligible to upgrade my phone and get the upgrade discount.

I also ordered the OtterBox Reflex case (black) to protect my investment. It was actually my Apple iPod Touch that convinced me to take a closer look at the iPhone. I had never even considered an iPhone before I fell in love with the iPod Touch - a gift from my wife who actually thought I said I wanted the iPod when I said I wanted an iPad. Big difference, but I'm not complaining. It was a great gift I use every day! Sorry Palm Pre but the iPhone 4S has just taken over

HP TouchPad is planned to be released this summer, 2011.

I have a Palm Pre (smartphone) which uses the same HP webOS and I can say it is pretty amazing. Now HP is coming out with a tablet size TouchPad that uses the same technology.

I like webOS because I am very much into multi-tasking and can't imagine using a phone or tablet (or laptop) that didn't let me switch between apps without having to close them.

I've had my Kindle for a little less than a month now and I absolutely love this device! I read a lot as it is, and this makes it easy to carry many different books anywhere I go. One of my favorite diversions is an afternoon break, sitting at the park with a cigar and a good book. I've downloaded about 30 books so far and most of them were free. I also have some of my business forms and information on the Kindle which saves having to carry printed pages. The free wifi is awesome and so is the ability to post to Facebook and/or Twitter. I highly recommend the Kindle to everyone.

Wal-Mart has launched a mobile phone plan under its own brand that includes unlimited talking and texting for $45 a month with each additional line costing $25 a month. T-Mobile USA is the network service provider. The new plan is available only in the US and does not require a long-term service contract. It will be offered starting Sept. 20 at all of Wal-Marts nearly 2,500 stores. The plan allows the first 100 MB of data are at no additional charge. Extra data is $10 for 200 MB, $25 for 500 MB, or $40 for 1,000 MB. International calls to several countries start at 5 cents per minute. Wal-Mart said it would offer mobile phones from Motorola, Nokia, and Samsung, including phones running Googles Android operating system.
